Building any wheel as a 3D watertight model requires absolute accuracy as the slightest error will result in a model that cannot be made or printed. The snap function must always be used to ensure that all points are located in their correct positions. For this reason I wanted to design and build a few different wheels to learn how to do this. The result was this forged magnesium alloy wheel design (inspired by the old Porsche Fuchs wheel) the last after many different versions I built over several years.
