Praying mantis

A praying mantis in my vegetable garden in Taiwan. These strange insects are said to be good for the garden and a sign that everything is healthy. So I was delighted to see one for the first time on one of my plants, which were thriving in the warm wet climate. The praying mantis appeared to be drinking the water or dew off the leaves.
