Kingfisher

This was a perfect spot for photographing this kingfisher as it could often be found here. It was part of an estuary levee wall and the kingfisher would flit across the river from one side to the other. The white concrete background and iridescent blue made it easy to spot the kingfisher when it was around. However these birds are quite small and very nervous, so getting close was still a challenge.
